Intermediate Care Facilities For Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IDD) is an optional Medicaid benefit that enables states to provide comprehensive and individualized health care and rehabilitation services to individuals to promote their functional placement authorization within 90 days. In Florida, all Medicaid recipients must initiate the need for services through the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities (APD).

RHA Health Services provides a broad range of person-centered and integrated services to people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges. Our mission at Salem Homes is to provide quality supports and services for adults with disabilities and for them to live as independently as possible. Our small 6-bed homes are typical homes in the community. People who live there are encouraged to participate in community activities, shopping, dining out, going to concerts, and attending church or religious services of their choice.

An interdisciplinary team identifies and determines each person’s needs. That team then designs appropriate services and specialized programs to provide positive outcomes for your loved one.

Right to Placement Authorization *
The Agency for Persons with Disabilities is required to ensure that all individuals requesting ICD/IDD placement are authorized for admission to an ICF/IDD within 90 days. Individuals who meet ICF/IDD eligibility criteria have the right to be placed in an ICF/IDD while awaiting approval to receive services under the State Home and Community-Based Services Waiver.

What Are The Eligibility Criteria For Placement?
An individual must be diagnosed as having an intellectual disability and or having a disorder or syndrome attributable to cerebral palsy, autism, spina bifida, or Prader-Will syndrome and in need of 24-hour supervision, coordination, and integration of health or rehabilitative services.
