Celebrating a Remarkable Career and a Lasting Legacy

At RHA, we love celebrating the achievements of our team members, not only as they grow in their careers, but also as they reach the well-deserved milestone of retirement. These moments give us an opportunity to reflect on the dedication, compassion, and commitment that have helped shape our organization and positively impact the lives of the people we serve.

We recently celebrated the retirement of John Malia, one of RHA’s longtime Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACTT) nurses, whose exceptional career includes 17 years of service with RHA Behavioral Health Services in Pennsylvania. John has shown steadfast dedication to the individuals we support, his teammates, and the mission that guides our work each day.

John played a vital role in supporting individuals with complex behavioral health needs, helping them achieve greater independence, stability, and quality of life. His clinical expertise, compassionate approach, and commitment to person-centered care have left a lasting impact on countless lives.

“Over the past 17 years, John has been a dedicated and compassionate member of our team, walking alongside individuals during some of the most challenging and meaningful moments of their lives. His work has always been more than a job; it has reflected a true calling to serve others. We are grateful for the relationships he has built, the knowledge he has shared, and the steady example he has set for his teammates,” said members of the ACTT team.

Although we officially celebrated John’s retirement last Friday, we are grateful that his passion for the work will continue. John has agreed to remain with the team per diem, allowing us to continue benefiting from his knowledge, experience, and mentorship. This next chapter reflects RHA’s commitment to honoring the milestone of retirement while also supporting solutions that help team members continue writing their story.
