RHA Health Services offers a broad range of behavioral, developmental, and therapeutic support programs to Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) and DeafBlind individuals in an environment free of cultural or language barriers. RHA serves people who utilize sign language as their primary mode of communication with our statewide Deaf and Hard of Hearing program in North Carolina.

Services Overview

RHA’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing program serves all 100 counties in North Carolina through both in-office services and internet-based meeting technology. Services include comprehensive clinical assessment, case coordination and consultation, mental health and substance use services, peer support, education, and referral services. All employees are fluent in both English and American Sign Language, and most are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or DeafBlind.

Communication Assistance

Regardless of the behavioral health services needed, RHA’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing and DeafBlind staff can provide assistance with determining communication needs, finding resources related to hearing loss, and assessing the cultural impact of deafness.
