Confidential, Secure, Stabilization Services

Mobile Crisis Management services provide intensive, on-site response, stabilization, and intervention for individuals of all ages who need mental health, developmental disabilities, or addiction support.

Our team of behavioral health professionals is available 24/7/365 to provide confidential and secure stabilization services for individuals in their homes, workplaces, schools, or anywhere within the community where a crisis occurs.

Crisis symptoms may include:

  • Hearing voices
  • Experiencing hallucinations
  • Displaying irrational behavior
  • Expressing intent to harm oneself or others
  • Intravenous (IV) drug use
  • Withdrawal from illegal substance use
  • Using drugs while pregnant
  • Becoming unmanageable due to mental illness

 

If experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 and/or go to the closest emergency room.

Mobile Outreach, Response, Engagement and Stabilization (MORES) 

Provided through RHA’s Mobile Crisis Management in Buncombe and Henderson Counties, NC 

MORES is a team-based crisis response intervention for children and adolescents ages 3-21 years experiencing escalating emotional and/or behavioral needs. MORES can provide the following supports:

• Access to a licensed clinician trained in child and adolescent interventions.

• Access to a Family Support Partner (an individual with lived experience of caring for a child with behavioral health challenges) who provides support and resources to the youth and family.

• Access to psychiatric consultation.

• Access to care management to provide connection to needed resources.

• Up to 8 weeks of follow-up care after the on-site crisis response to assist the family and youth in obtaining services and supports.

What can I expect from MORES?

  • Immediate support via telephone.  
  • Reduced response time for situations requiring an on-site mobile crisis team to be dispatched.
  • Short-term crisis management until the crisis is resolved.
  • Referral and connections to follow-up services.
  • Support and advocacy to identify needs and crisis planning.
  • Someone to walk with you and your family. 

What are the results of MORES?

  • Reduction in residential setting placements by promoting safe behavior in youth within their homes and communities. 
  • Reduction in admissions to Emergency Departments by increasing access to the behavioral health system and increasing care in less restrictive settings. 
  • Reduction in legal involvement by reducing dangerous behaviors and increasing family/caregiver advocacy and support.
