RHA Health Services is pleased to announce the opening of two new group homes in North Carolina! The Fairlane Home (Greenville) and Godwin Home (Fayetteville) serve adults with intellectual/development disabilities, thanks to support from Trillium Health and Alliance Health.

Both ADA-compliant homes include a spacious backyard, open kitchen, and communal dining area. The living room and additional sitting areas provide spaces for reading, playing games, relaxing, and socializing. Each home has four furnished bedrooms, and residents are encouraged to personalize their rooms to express their unique interests and style.

RHA provides 24/7 Direct Support Professional (DSP) staff in the homes. The DSPs nurture a supportive, communal environment, promoting camaraderie amongst residents and mentoring their household skills. IDD Facility Administrator Cynthia Stevens says, “Providing individuals a safe place to live that they can be proud to call home is very important to me. The service provided in RHA’s group homes enhances the lives of the people supported. Their overall growth, development, and ability to reach major milestones are among our greatest achievements.”

Activities and community engagement are prioritized in RHA’s group homes, as residents are encouraged to pursue their personal goals while living in an environment that promotes their independence. Regional Administrator Samantha Scott reports that Tim, a resident of the Godwin Home, “is enjoying living in a community setting and making new friends. He is actively working towards his personal goal of visiting every amusement park on the East Coast and riding the tallest/fastest roller coaster!”
