Mary Benson House Admission Criteria

To be admitted to MBH, a woman must:

Provide recovery skills via outpatient treatment, group and individual counseling, and 12-step meetings.
Develop parenting skills via weekly parenting classes and self-care groups, and connections to pediatric care.
Build independent living skills via financial counseling services, and education, employment, and volunteer opportunities.
Provide person-centered treatment planning and case management.
Connect individuals to community resources including Women’s Recovery Center, On Track Financial Services, AB Technical Community College, local childcare facilities, MAHEC Women’s and Family Health Centers, Community Care of WNC, and the Buncombe County Department of Health and Human Services.
