Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) & Non-Hospital Medical Detox Centers

Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) services provide intensive, community-based therapeutic interventions as a cost-effective alternative to hospitalization for individuals facing crisis situations. RHA operates two FBC facilities: the Foothills Regional Treatment Center in Lenoir and the Neil Dobbins Center (NDC) in Asheville. These secure, 24-hour facilities offer crisis stabilization and short-term mental health services, including evaluation, therapy, treatment, and behavioral/medication management, specifically designed for adults with mental illness. Following their stay in Facility-Based Crisis services, individuals receive a comprehensive discharge plan that includes connections to crucial community supports and services, as well as a crisis coordination plan.
