RHA Participants Are Fish’n with a Mission

In early October, people served at RHA’s Maiden and Statesville units participated in the annual Fish’n with a Mission event in Iredell County. There were over 25 participants, and they caught more than 75 fish. Michelle Robertson, NC IDD Senior Vice President of Operations, says, “It was a great event! Fun was had by all, as they caught fish, spent time with friends, and enjoyed the beautiful fall weather.” Two people from RHA took home trophies – Trevor for catching the most fish and Preston for catching the biggest fish. Way to go! 

Participants in RHA’s day services often pursue hobbies and build community through fun group outings like Fish’n with a Mission. Day services, offered in community or day programs for adults with disabilities, focus on helping people set and reach personal goals, form and sustain meaningful relationships, and achieve positive health and wellness outcomes.
