RHA Congratulates New Chief Executive Officer, Mickey Atkins
January 26, 2024
Mickey Atkins joined RHA as President in July 2023 and be Chief Executive Officer upon Jeanne Duncan’s retirement on March 1, 2024.
We are delighted to share some reflections and insights as Atkins leads our esteemed team at RHA Health Services.
Since his tenure as president, Atkins has been truly inspired by RHA’s steadfast commitment to being a leader in the Behavioral Health (BH) and Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (IDD) communities. RHA’s emphasis on cultivating meaningful relationships with key stakeholders is fundamental to understanding the profound impact of the services we provide.
Furthermore, Atkins has witnessed firsthand what sets RHA apart – the belief in being an integral part of the communities we serve. We go beyond the role of a service provider; we build meaningful relationships within these communities. This approach allows us to be more than just providers; it enables us to be contributors to the fabric of the communities we serve.
Atkins’ leadership values mimic those of Duncan, sharing that one of the greatest lessons learned is a willingness to listen to all parties before making decisions. This open-minded approach fosters collaboration and ensures that diverse perspectives contribute to informed and thoughtful choices.
As we extend a new congratulations to Atkins as CEO, let us collectively embrace the wealth of experience he brings, combining it with the core values that define us as an organization. Together, we will continue making a positive and lasting impact on the communities we hold dear.
