RHA Health Services received the Crisis Champion Award from Vaya Health in recognition of its extraordinary response and unwavering commitment to delivering critical behavioral health services in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.

Despite widespread damage and ongoing recovery challenges, RHA mobilized quickly to ensure individuals retained access to vital behavioral health support. The organization’s efforts helped prevent service gaps for vulnerable populations and provided a sense of stability amid the chaos.

“We are so proud of the important work that RHA’s crisis teams do on a daily basis. They make a difference in the lives of so many people, providing critical support when it is needed most,” said Sandy Feutz, RHA’s Behavioral Health COO. “The Vaya Crisis Champion Award is a well-deserved affirmation to their commitment to individuals and their communities.”

The award highlights RHA’s exceptional leadership, innovation, and resilience in responding to public health emergencies, and underscores RHA’s mission — to provide a safe and healthy environment while creating opportunities for personal outcomes — no matter the circumstances.
