This year, RHA Health Services launched the RHA Cares Awards, celebrating excellence across our company! We gathered in Atlanta for an award ceremony, enjoyed fellowship and food, and recognized the following recipients.

The RHA Cares Excellence Award recognizes Direct Support Professionals throughout the company for their extraordinary impact. In the ceremony, CEO Mickey Atkins honored them as “leaders in the way they act, the way they present themselves, and the way they support the people RHA cares for.” Here are the recipients of the 2025 RHA Excellence Awards:

Euvelia Brock, ICF Group Home Supervisor in Adairsville, GA

Sherunda Davis, ICF Group Home Supervisor in Chattanooga, TN

Margaret French, Direct Support Professional in Hendersonville, NC

Maelyn Henderson, ICF Group Home Supervisor in Levittown, PA

Steven Karanja, ICF Group Home Supervisor in Lafayette, NJ

Charlie Tate, Direct Support Professional in Trenton, TN

Letitia Troublefield, Direct Support Professional in Goldsboro, NC

Joshua Williams, Direct Support Professional in Creedmoor, NC

Vivian Wooten, Direct Support Professional in Belews Creek, NC

Beyond recognition, RHA Cares Excellence Award recipients were awarded bonus checks, hourly pay raises, and commemorative blankets. Atkins said, “When you think of a blanket, you think of warmth; you think of comfort; you think of support. That’s what all these recipients are.”

Leigh Gagnon, Behavioral Health Team Leader in High Point, NC, was awarded the 2025 RHA Cares Legacy Award. The award is RHA’s highest recognition for long-term, organization-wide impact.

Lee Nichols, IT Director of Site Operations, and Jackie Smith, Employee Benefits Specialist, received special recognition for their commitment to RHA. Together, the careers of these two sisters represent nearly 7 decades of dedication to improving the lives of people served. Presenting their awards, Chief Information Officer Denise Redfearn said, “We thank you; we celebrate you; and above all, we are better because of you.”

The awards ceremony was a special time to gather together across all five states of service and express heartfelt appreciation. Every single role contributes to RHA’s ability to make a true difference in the lives of people served. Every recipient exemplifies the spirit of RHA and makes the company what it is today. Please join us in congratulating the recipients!
