RHA Partners with First Responders for Mental Health Crisis Response

When a mental health crisis occurs, having the right support at the right time can make a meaningful difference. 

RHA Health Services is proud to partner with the Asheville Police Department and Asheville Fire Department through a co-responder program that brings mental health professionals alongside first responders during crisis calls. 

By working together, the program helps connect individuals experiencing a mental health crisis with appropriate resources, services, and ongoing support. This collaborative approach helps bridge the gap between crisis response and behavioral health care while supporting safer outcomes for individuals, first responders, and the community. 

We are grateful to our first responder partners for their continued commitment to creating a more compassionate and connected approach to crisis response in Asheville and Buncombe County.
